Imibongo Bhungani

Imibongo is a gentle five-year-old who is gradually finding his rhythm again in the classroom. After missing more than six weeks of school due to illness last year, he is steadily rebuilding his confidence and re-engaging with his learning journey.

In the classroom, Imibongo is currently learning to write his name, with several letters now visible, and continues to strengthen his early literacy skills. He can count from 1–30 and recognize a few numbers. He enjoys matching shapes and colours, as well as pairing objects with their corresponding shadows, showing growing attention to detail and visual recognition skills.

Imibongo is still developing his fine motor abilities and continues to practice cutting with guidance and encouragement. While he often moves around the classroom observing others, he has made encouraging progress in choosing activities independently and working on his own when he feels ready.

Although his extended absence temporarily affected his focus and enthusiasm, Imibongo is showing meaningful signs of resilience and growth. With continued support, patience, and consistency, he is well on his way to regaining confidence and continuing to grow in both independence and learning.
