Peak with a Purpose: Mt. Fuji for Life Child

In September 2025, a team of Life Child Champions, including Anthony Liebenberg, Dale Narsi, Clency Ngary, Willy and Charis Lau, summited Mt. Fuji (3,776 m) to raise funds for orphaned and vulnerable children across Africa. The climb is done, but the mission continues as we work toward our R250,000 goal to bring hope and opportunity, one life at a time.

Kurt Van Der Walt

Kurt van der Walt from Fairtree took on the 109 km Cape Town Cycle Tour in support of Life Child. His dedication and endurance not only exemplify personal strength but also a deep commitment to a greater cause—raising awareness for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Jana Van Der Merwe

Jana completed the 50 km Three Peaks Challenge—summiting Devil’s Peak, Maclears Beacon, and Lion’s Head—to raise awareness for orphaned and vulnerable children. Her run supported Life Child’s mission to bring hope and transformation to communities in Mozambique, South Africa, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. As a Life Child Champion, Jana helped shine a light on the lives of 550 children currently in Life Child’s care.

Nadine Pillay

Nidene Pillay didn’t just walk 5km for Walk For Little Feet in 2021; instead, she and her team walked an impressive 42km and raised extra funds through the GivenGain platform. Nidene also got the company she works for to match the amount she raised.

Margolite Williams

Margolite Williams climbed Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, 100 times to get 100 additional child sponsors.

Beatrice Tsveture

In 2024 Beatrice ran the Walter Raleigh Marathon to raise awareness and much-needed funds. She also held a birthday fundraiser in the name of Life Child by organizing a Zumba breakfast event with friends and family.

Kilimanjaro Team

An international team trekked up to Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, at an incredible height of 5,895 meters (19,341 ft) to raise awareness and funds for Life Child.
